Solvent Recovery

SRS-550 XPM-PC-

Description

The solvent recovery unit SRS-550 XPM has a tank capacity of 208 litres (55 US gallons) and a distillation rate of approximately 30-60 litres* (8-16 US gallons*) per hour. The unit operates on 220 Volts at 60 cycles (50 optional) and consumes 50 amps.

How does it work

Dirty solvent is added to the teflon-lined tank, and the aluminum lid is clamped down. As the temperature raises above the boiling point of the solvent being recovered, the solvent vaporizes into a gaseous state through the insulated exhaust tube into the air-cooled condenser where it is condensed into a reusable solvent. The remaining solids in the still bottom can then be removed for disposal and the system is ready to process the next batch.
